Preventing Voter Fraud

Voter fraud is probably a bigger problem than we realize. Seth Cooper writes that requiring photo ID at the polls would seem to be a simple and obvious measure to reduce poll fraud. Yes, it would.

You really have to wonder why we don't.

Why don't we have ID checks? Because the Dems want everyone to vote. Wether they are legal to or not.

We have ID checks to buy liquor, to fly, why not something as important as voting? I don't mind whipping out my ID, if needed.

No, you don't have to wonder why we don't. We don't because of one culprit, and one culprit only: the Democratic Party. That is not hyperbole, it is the plain unadorned fact. The Republican Party tried, and the Democratic Party pulled out all the stops to prevent it. Eventually, the Dems got most of what they wanted, and this is part of what they wanted. End of story.

A drivers' license (basic form of identification asked for at polls) is easily obtained by felons and illegal aliens (or terrorists for that matter). Voting Districts should require birth certificate, thumb prints, criminal history check and/or U.S. Naturalized Citizen certificate before the voter registration card is issued. These voter registration cards should be more tamper-proof as well. I feel I have earned the right to vote by continuing to abide by the criteria set forth by our forebearers. This right should be protected, not diluted by allowing all who show up at the polls to exercise this important right.
