Patty "Osama Mama" Murray Video

The Nethercutt for Senate campaign has released a new ad featuring a video clip of Patty Murray making her infamous statement praising Osama Bin Laden for "building daycare facilities" and for having "made people's lives better". That statement has been widely reported, but I hadn't seen an actual video until today. It has to be seen to be believed how naive Patty Murray is, and how unsuited she is for a position of leadership during the war against Islamic terrorists.

Man, oh, man... You have got to be the reddest Republican I have seen in some time, Stefan! What are you doing in Western Washington???

Patty Murray is hardly naive. She's one of the most powerful women in Washington, DC and does a damned good job as a Senator.

She never "praised" Osama bin Laden. A student asked her why so many people in the Middle East support bin Laden and the terrorist acts he carries out, and she tried to explain as simply as she could that he has spent countless amounts of money on things like daycare facilities and schools and houses in places where no one else -- including the United States -- will do anything to help people.

She didn't say he was a good person or that it's okay for him to be a terrorist. She simply answered a question with the correct answer.

Does anyone know if it is haram for a husband to beat his wife for leaving the house to drop off the kids at the OBL daycare center? Is it only if she is unaccompanied by a male relative. or may she be beaten regardless?

Michael:
Let me help you. Powerful does not equal intelligent. Her own colleagues rate her number 1 in the "No rocket scientist" category published by the Washingtonian. Her supporters at the Progressive Magazine rate her 4th dimmest bulb in Congress. She maybe powerful, but naive is generous. She is an idiot. Don't take my word for it, just ask those Democrats who work with her day-to-day in D.C.

OBL is an advocate of an Islam practiced centuries ago. It's an Islam the Taliban embraced before liberation in Afghanistan. Women were treated no better than breeding animals, forced to cover themselves from head to toe and could not venture outside the home without accompanied by a man. They were denied access to schools and work outside the home. Why in the world would a society such as this need daycare centers? This backward society banned music and regularily put to death gays by toppling stone walls on them.

OBL came from a Saudi family with a long history in construction. He put these skills to use building roads and other infrastructure to facilitate his war making abilities. There is no evidence that he built housing, healthcare or other infrastructure for any reason than to support attacks against his enemies.

OBL is certainly popular in some parts of the Arab world. Only he owes his popularity to his successful terror campaigns against the West. It's these little successes in a culture where the shame of so many failures is a burden Islam cannot bear.

The shamefulness of the remarks by Senator Murray is her absolute failure to understand the world she describes with her silly stories. This is an unserious person in the Senate representing Washington. Votes on life and death issues deserve better.

I hope the Times and the PI raise a big stink about "dirty politics." More voters need to hear Patty's words and decide for themselves.

We could indulge Clinton when the world seemed less threatening. We didn't realize our holiday from history was an illusion. We can no longer afford the Murray's of the world, it's time for grownups.

The proposition that Patty was merely telling the truth is utterly unbelievable.

What is there to complain about? The footage of Senator Murray is real, it happened, she said what she said. Unfortunately it is not shocking to the majority of voters in Seattle and the greater Puget Sound area, they think and believe just like her. The real problem with Murray and her supporters is that they do not think very deeply about things.

Taking comments out of contest is not going to work here. Maybe it would work in Dixie Karl Robe country. NOT HERE.
….And you guys called Murray stupid?

Making life better does not mean making life good. If I had nothing and somebody gives me a piece of bread, I will be better, but one piece of bread does not make my life good. Surely I will be thankful for the bread. Shouldn't that piece of bread be coming from the US though?
Is that hard to understand?

I know you guys are not stupid, just have a political agenda. But please don’t go that low. It makes me want to campaign against that “Netherlands”, “Neverland” whatever.

Day care centers? Is there the slightest evidence that OBL ever financed such things?

Parents are advised to pick up their children promptly at 5 PM when the facility closes. Children who are not picked up by 5 PM will be sold into slavery in Darfur. Also, due to the prevalence of head lice, next Tuesday will be mandatory head-shaving day. Students are also again admonished to keep their uniforms and burquas clean and pressed. Students who fail to keep their uniforms and burquas clean and pressed will be subject to lashing, at the discretion of the iman.

Anyone who believes that OBL funds more humanitarian enterprises than the US is not naive. She is downright stupid.

Likewise, so is anyone who believes hijackers are motivated to immolate themselves along with 3,000 innocnnet victims because OBL built a daycrae center.

Steve Skubinna:
Who has said that OBL funds more humanitarian enterprises than the US?

who does believe hijackers are motivated to immolate themselves along with 3,000 innocnnet victims because OBL built a daycrae center?

You should not use the word stupid, it hits too close to your home.

I find it absolutely amazing that *anyone* thinks that Patty Murray answered that question correctly. How can anyone possibly think that OBL actually made people's lives better?

Patty Murray is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, as has been pointed out here already, but is she so naive as to not realize all the humanitarian work the US does? Does she not realize that Egypt receives the second highest humanitarian aide from the US? I guess not.

OBL has built NO day-care facilities, or health-care facilities for the people. All he's built are terrorist-training camps, and the only aide he provides is to other terrorists. Meanwhile, the US spends billions to help Arabs and Muslims and is never accorded any appreciation, or even acknowledgement, for its efforts.

Patty Murray has been too stupid to be in the senate ever since she was unfortunately elected. However, in far-left Washington she's pretty much assured of another victory. Just as the left-wing wacko Jim McDermott will always be re-elected too. It's sad.

After watching the video, I am astonished that this type of language is coming from an American, let alone a Senator. Regardless of what spin you may put on it, or what "context" it may or may not have been in, one fact is crystal clear and irrefutable - Patty Murray is clearly admiring OBL and what he has "done" for his people.

It sickens me that we have politicans and political sycophants who would waste our time defending terrorists and their admirers here in the US.

To all of you who wish to defend Patty Murray I ask you this:
Is it really important enough to defend her while atrocities are being commited against civilian Americans? She clearly made the statements she is accused of. She is clearly fawning over his "accomplishments"?

Why not spend a minute and reflect on the people of the world who had their heads sawn off. Better yet watch the videos of their deaths. After that return to the blogs and see if you still feel that it is worth defending Ms. Murray.

I doubt Murray would have made these comments about OBL on September 12, 2001. She would have been condemned by the pretty much everyone for such insensitivity. But with the passage of time, people forget the tragedy of 9-11 and Murray is one of them. Don't forget! Remember those politicians who don't honor the dead of 9-11 and their families. Patty Murray insults the families of 9-11 victims with her comments.

Let me help you out, Michael. Osama bin Laden NEVER built daycare centers, NEVER built hospitals, never built schools...NOR DID HE PAY FOR THEM. Patty Murray is simply a moron. Sorry to say.

I hate to bring down the wrath of Godwin's Law upon this thread, but the Hitler analogy seems particularly appropriate.

Prasing Osama for his works is just like praising Hitler for building the autobahns and making the trains run on time. Who would praise either for their actions - both were not trying to help people, but rather extend their offensive warfare capabilities.
