Meanwhile, the group Funding for Peace Coalition released a report today documenting how billions of dollars of international aid to the Palestinians has been diverted to corruption and terrorism:
The FPC report is entitled “Managing European Taxpayers’ Money: Supporting The Palestinian Arabs – A Study In Transparency”. It publishes evidence, which substantiates a compelling connection between European funding and ongoing Palestinian corruption and terrorism. It also highlights the utter failure of European organisations to monitor where these funds have been directed. The report details theft, nepotism, and embezzlement on the part of the PA, supported by incompetence and apathy on the part of European agencies.As one right-wing Israeli settler in the Gaza Strip put it:
All of the funds which foreign countries had donated to the Palestinian Authority, a total of $5bn "have gone down the drain, and we don't know to where,"Just kidding. That wasn't the quote of a right-wing Israeli settler. That quote was from former Palestinian interior minister Mohammad Dahlan.

He also, like michael ledeen and frank gaffney (sorry, rabii, none of them are jewish) before him, hates Iran and iraq- he was, and here is your connnection, at DIA in the 1980s and his job was the TOW transfers to Iran and the aerial recon to iraq. He knows all the players including khasshogi and ghorbanifar He was part of the team that kept that war going full blast. The man hates both iran and iraq. it is as simple as that - someone at FBI wants to take bush down a few pegs.
As you can see, there is no indictment yet.
Posted by: jannol on September 1, 2004 02:58 PMI'm guessing Franklin's way too low in the pecking order to be a legal conduit for classified information to Israel. It bothers me a lot that an inspection of his home turned up material that didn't belong there. This fact alone impeaches his innocence. I worked with the very same level of information from '85 to '92 and would have never misappropriated it, nor would any of my coworkers. Something's definitely wrong.
However I withold judgement until, and if, he's charged. Unfortunately for Franklin and our gummint whoever leaked this early may have tainted everything beyond usefulness. Something's definitely wrwong regarding that, too.
