Palestinian Child Abuse

A Palestinian man has abducted his own children:

A Palestinian man abducted his five Swedish children and fled to the Gaza Strip, where he has held them illegally for more than two months, his former wife and the Swedish Foreign Ministry said yesterday.

A relative of the father said the children, ages 6 to 16, will not be allowed to return to Sweden, because the Gaza family does not want them to live a Western lifestyle — and destroyed their Swedish passports.

The National Organization of Women will be all over this one.

And the point? Trying to feed the racist myth of Arabs not caring for their children?

So let's see... no outrage at the adbuction, but rather at somebody noting the act. Okay, just wanted to ensure I understand Rabii's ire.

If these kids end up fitted with Semtex vests, the Shark better not note that, either. Oh, and Rabii, don't get worked up, I'm not suggesting that some Arab would outfit a kid with a Semtex vest. That would be unprecedented as well as racist.

Anyway, why would a father want his children to grow up in a nation where they have civil rights? Obviously he has their own interests at heart - God forbid they grow up expecting to be able to vote or anything. And living in Sweden there's no guarantee they'd grow up wanting to exterminate Jews.

Okay, consider the abduction condemned.(Kind of thought that would go without saying). So, what's the point of the post? Why not a story on Jewish child abuse? Can anyone muster up an answer?

It is actually not uncommon that a man from the Arab world with children by someone from a Western country will abduct his children and flee to his home country. Arabic laws greatly support a man's right to possession of his children. I am aware of events of a similar nature that have occurred in the past to people with whom I am acquainted. I actually counsel women not to enter into relationships with Muslim men unless they understand the difference between the Islamic codes of conduct and what has come to be under the provinces of Women's Lib.

Rabii, a quick Lexis search has determined that there are precisely as many posts on the Shark Blog condemning Israeli indoctrination of their children to be suicide bombers as there are...

Oh, forget it.

Any child forced to grow up in that psychotic death cult masquerading as a national movement is triply screwed to begin with.

And still no answer. Keep dancing...

An answer to what, you moral relativist? My argument is that the entire PA culture constitutes child abuse. And human rights abuse. And genoicide.

But, yeah, Israeli child abuse is real bad, and makes baby Jesus cry, and causes baby Moses to squirt in his diapers.

Eagerly awaiting your next "Yeah, but a Jewish guy did something real mean once!" response.

"Why not a story on Jewish child abuse?"

Here is an answer: Jewish children are abused, as are children in every religion and country.

But only in Islam are children taught from the cradle that it is their sacred duty to kill and die for their religion, and will be rewarded for it. It says so in the Koran.

Of course Arabs care for their chidren, but still encourage martyrdom. How many times have you read that Muslims say that they love death more than life? How many times have you read that Palestinian mothers rejoice at their child's death?

Jed,

I don't think this story was about martyrdom, was it? Maybe some types of abuse are more prevelant in some cultures. But if you're honest about it, I think you'll agree this posting is an attempt to demonize Palestinians.
