I'm proud that my mother tells me that her parents were and that her father was deeply skeptical of FDR (ahead of his time). I don't doubt that Moore is anti-Israel, but I suspect that most grandparents of people who are 30-45 were Democrats.

Among modern orthodox to "old-school" orthodox jews, bush will win about 80-20. gore did well because hillary made promises about israel - which she largely kept and clinton had some, albeit little, moral fiber which made even him realize that the palestinian war party must be anihilated.

Let me make an uneducated guess as to why Moore hates Israel. It is a worldwide example of good versus evil. Israel is a nation at threat from terrorists who strap bombs on themselves and target innocents. Israel is successfully taking action to prevent terrorism by segregating Palestinians and Israeli's with a wall. Israel is successfully fighting terrorism with a real war, instead of appeasment.

Hey, maybe Moore is afraid that the American people will view the war on terrorism as a good thing, and vote for Bush.

I read the link. There is nothing there that indicated Michael Moore hates Israel. He just doesn't hate Palestinians and thinks they might have a legitimate claim to some land now controlled by Israel.

Moore probably doesn't like the idea of his country bankrolling and supporting oppression.

I'm an Israeli, and I don't support oppression. I do support soldiers doing whatever they can in order to help me celebrate my next birthday. There are people in this world, and in this country, who want to kill me. They don't know who I am or what my views are. They never met me, but they want me dead. And Israel has the horrible choice to make: Make life harder for innocent Palestinians, or let innocent Israelis be murdered.

The Palestinian terrorists know we'll come after them, and yet they keep their families close to them. Why would a person, who has a baby in his house, shoot at a tank from that house? I mean, it's one thing to put your own life on the line, but doing it with your kid in the area?

If they don't want us to kill children, why do they recruit children? Terrorists even tried to kill a 10 year old Palestinian child who was working for them out of fear that he would rat on them.

None of you have any idea what's going on here, so before blaming us for occupation, and oppression, you better check out your own views. I'm moving to Jerusalem in 6 days, and I'll be happy to talk to you again if my bus and University won't be OCCUPIED by "enemy combatants" and if I will not murdered for being Jewish.

Tomer has really just said it better than I could have. Palestinian terrorists are actively killing Jews, making them our enemies. But in the same breath, America had a legitimate claim for conflict - we were attacked. However, the Republican party, which by the way cares nothing for Jews, and Bush, have mismanaged everything onward from Sept. 12th. This causes innocent people to die, this causes arab anger towards America and Israel, two places I care dearly about. So fuck conservative old "bubbie". It sounds too much like bubba.
