A report on the Washington State delegation at the Democratic Convention:
some delegates skipped the warm-up speeches and didn't show up on the convention floor until about 7 p.m. The problem with that, state party chairman Paul Berendt explained, was the empty seats made Washington look bad, especially since the delegation is seated near the front: "It looks like we don't care."Well, the WA Democrats don't care about the same things that regular people care about. But they do care about all kinds of goofy-assed nonsense. Posted by Stefan Sharkansky at July 27, 2004 02:02 PM
Wow; Goffy-ass is right. (Great phraseology, by the way!) The prominent display of Fahrenheit 9/11 (facts?! charismatic?!) and their objections to Dino Rossi (extreme?! lockstep?!) are, well, goofy-ass.
Posted by: cornflux on July 27, 2004 04:37 PMGoofy-assed fits anyone backing John "effin" Kerry.
I was raised a democrat and I am thinking what Zell Miller said, "My party is my house and people have moved into the basement and won't leave". Now, I am an independent...
Posted by: Kevin P. on July 27, 2004 06:48 PMWhy don't they have seat-fillers, as is done for the Academy awards and so on? Surely there are lots of folks who would love to fill that role.
Posted by: Andy Freeman on July 27, 2004 08:14 PMGet a clue, that was one day. Republicans can be found absent on any given day in relative numbers. Go Kerry!!
Posted by: kerry4president on July 27, 2004 11:01 PMBush led this country into war on false pretenses, anything you can say against democrats doesn't even come close to that kind of dangerous leadership.
