Posted by Stefan Sharkansky at July 28, 2004 01:13 PMJust wanted to let everyone know that I attended a fund raiser for Dino Rossi last night in Bellevue. I was extremely impressed with Mr. Rossi and his plans to fix many of the issues plaguing this state. If you get a chance to attend the event tonight, take a friend and be prepared to support this campaign.
Posted by: Jim Jones on July 28, 2004 09:34 AMI'm sorry I missed the event. It sounds like it was well-attended, and even had protestors!
Posted by: chunkstyle on July 29, 2004 02:24 PMI'm sorry I missed the protesters.. what on earth were they protesting??
Posted by: Saxa on July 29, 2004 03:20 PMI was up in the air about who to support for governor until recently. I have read the political website for each of the candidates and it helped me little to understand where each stood on people issues. So I checked out their voting records - WOW - Dino is a loser. He voted to deny unemployment benefits to victims of domestic violence who have to quit their jobs and relocate to escape their abusers. He wrote a state budget that cut 40,000 children off health care insurance. To frost the cake he voted against allowing prople to use sick leave to care for sick family members - know that's really family friendly. His slick outer coating is slim.
Posted by: diane on August 23, 2004 06:16 PMDino Rossi should be governor right now! I think the hand counted votes were "messed" with.
I am 37 years old but still believe in the votes. 2 machine counts against one hand count leave Mr. Rossi as our govenor!!
Please tell me what we can do or who to write to that will make a difference!
Gregoire's last terms as govenor did not do anything for us and we need Dino Rossi NOW!!!
Please let me know what I can do for the cause!

Posted by: Cindy Pierce on January 7, 2005 12:53 PMThere seems to be a hidden agenda here.
I am not buying that cluster of "found" ballots
I am not buying the votes from people who passed away before the election.
I honestly believe in my heart that something seems fishy.
Is this the way elections are won?
Time for a re-vote!
Christine Gregoire is the grinch who stole the election! The resemblance is clear, she has the same wickedly green evil grin and the mind of a thief!
By the way, I do believe she made up her mind prior to the election that she would be the next govenor regardless of the outcome. She would not concede after Dino Rossi won twice but she expects the people of WA to bow down to her. The only message she is sending in this direction is that of a spoiled relentless child that got her way. I can just picture her now sticking her tongue out, like ha/ha to you, I won!
If my husband was not 5 years away from retirement of the Boeing Co. I would be free of Washington state ASAP.
Posted by: Jennifer Godfrey on January 12, 2005 09:42 PMIt is a sad state of affairs when the govenor elect is kicked to the curb by a quick responding bunch of democrats and Chris Vance sits back and wathches an election stolen and responds so slowly that the Great state of Washington sits back and has to wait to 12 months (November 05 is when the quickest this thing will be resolved) to actually see the real Governor sit in Olympia. Step up to the plate Mr. Vance and actually be representative to the party you represent!!!!

Posted by: Kris on February 20, 2005 10:10 PMCONCEDE THE ELECTION ROSSI. YOU LOST.
I'm a Republican and am embarrassed by this. If Al Gore can concede after winning the popular vote, you can. The election was as fair and honest as an election can get. 1000 ex cons is a very small problem (Compared to Florida's chad problem).
Concede so American can get on with its business.
1000 ex cons can hardly be called inconsequential, when the margin of victory is only 129 votes...
