Things keep getting worse and worse for Washington's Democratic Attorney General / gubernatorial candidate Christine Gregoire:
ITEM: A federal judge has sanctioned and fined the lawyers for Attorney General Christine Gregoire for failing to turn over documents in a lawsuit brought against the agency by a former employee.
ITEM: Six years after the Legislature approved the development of a statewide computer system to monitor ex-convicts, the program remains on the shelf and indefinitely on hold -- a victim, say some of the plan's supporters, of mismanagement within the office of Attorney General Christine Gregoire.
And today, even the hippie-dippie liberal Seattle Post-Intelligencer editorial page is kicking at the carcass of Gregoire's gubernatorial bid:
These allegations are not against Gregoire herself, but against her staff. But good public officials have good staffs. And one measure of a public official is quality of the people she recruits and the skill with which she manages them.Ouch. Posted by Stefan Sharkansky at May 27, 2004 10:39 AM
The P-I all but pulled an Al Gore, touting Rumsfeld's resignation because a half dozen DOD enlisted men took trophy photos of themselves bullying prisoners one night.
Uncharacteristically, the paper is using the same logic in declaring Gregoire responsible for misfeasance by her departmental employees.
Posted by: Insufficiently Sensitive on May 27, 2004 03:59 PMDoes anyone know all the states Gregoire messed-up? And how? I totally need this for a report, but can't find it on-line, yet.... I'll keep looking, because it's due tonight, so... 12-9-04... I'd like to know more about her and Rossi, but I don't have too much time... Thanks for reading, Amanda Hanson
Posted by: Amanda Lynn Hanson on December 9, 2004 08:09 PMThis whole 2004 election process has been a debacle for Democrats.
We have finally gained some ground after our obtuse, bigoted, narrow-minded red states placed Bush in the White House for another four years.
Christine has prevailed for our party and it is time to rejoice.
Unfortunately, Dino supports the Bush administration and the cold-blooded murder of innocent Iraqi citizens for weapons of mass-de-nothing. It is a quagmire in Iraq (as Dick Cheney had predicted it would be pre-invasion) and this Bush debacle has made America the mockery and disdain of the international community. Oh, and the love that we feel in the Middle East!
Quite frankly, many of us are ashamed. We are ashamed to be considered a part of this newfound heinous culture. A culture that is content to take murder and death to other parts of the world and to consider it just, because a person who is least deserving happens to occupy an office that he is incapable of bringing honor to, says, "It was the right thing to do."
How disgusting. How vain and how dare you (Bush) dumb-down our culture in such a foul way.
Rejoice democrats! We have been redeemed through the election of Christine Gregoire as our Governor.
Dino, man-up and concede. Be gracious and try to display good sportsmanship.

I just saw the swearing in ceremony for governor gregoire. I was wondering if she really believes that she can accomplish everything on her agenda in the time she will be governor. She does have the backing of all the democrats (they will pay for that when they run again). I am now watching the fawning that will become so prevalent on our local news stations. It amazes me how she could get up there in front of everyone and not even feel guilty about the election. I guess that is why democrats are going down. They just dont get it. I for one am thankful that they are so intent on their agenda at any cost that they cant see the forest for the trees. When it all comes crashing down on them they will have absolutely no idea what happened. It would be comical if it werent so tragic. Now I find that I cannot even post this message. I guess free speech is only protected if agrees with the liberal agenda. Guess I will listen to the response to her speech.
