Shilling for Hamas at the Seattle Times

Today's Seattle Times coverage of Israel's liquidation of genocide promoter Ahmed Yassin is so astonishingly pro-Hamas that the Islamist ethnic cleansers of Hamas couldn't have purchased more sympathetic P.R. And that's just the "news" page. The editorial page is even more fawning in its memorial to the wheelchair-bound mass murderer.

"Oh, That Liberal Media" has my full entry on the subject.

In an interview with The Associated Press shortly after he was released in 1997, Yassin offered Israel a 10-year truce if Israel would withdraw its troops and settlers from all of the West Bank and Gaza Strip (news - web sites). However, Yassin made it clear that even then, Hamas would continue to pursue its goal of replacing Israel with an Islamic state.

Yassin made the 30-year truce proposal while still in prison.....MY MY...CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT ?HOW FOOLISH OF ISREAL NOT TO ACCEPT !!! WHAT ? THEY DIDNT THINK THE SHEIK COULD BE TRUSTED ?

Hamas Picks Fiery Figure as Gaza Leader

Published: March 24, 2004

JERUSALEM, March 23 — The Palestinian Islamic movement Hamas selected one of its most combative figures, Dr. Abdel Aziz Rantisi, as its leader in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday after Israel's killing of the group's founder, Sheik Ahmed Yassin.

Meanwhile, senior Israeli security officials said top Hamas leaders would remain targets as part of a continuing campaign against Palestinians linked to violence against Israel. "Everyone is in our sights; there is no immunity for anyone," said Tzachi Hanegbi, Israel's minister of internal security.

Dr. Rantisi, who speaks often to journalists, has been the most visible and fiery Hamas spokesman in recent years. He vowed that as leader of Hamas from its Gaza stronghold, the group would continue to push hard to carry out suicide bombings and other attacks.

"The Israelis will not know security," Dr. Rantisi told the crowd at a memorial service on Tuesday for Sheik Yassin. "We will fight them until the liberation of Palestine, the whole of Palestine."

And in remarks directed at the "military wing" of Hamas, he said: "The door is open for you to strike all places, all the time and using all means... PALESTINIANS ARE COOPERATIVE IN ONE RESPECT: THEY SIGN THEir DEATH WARRANTS WITHOUT A PROBLEM; I GIVE RANTISI LESS THEN A MONTH BEFORE HE MEETS THE SHEIK

"It is such an ugly crime committed by this government of murderers; it is the Israeli government that assassinated this symbol of resistance," Mr. Qurei said. "We are witnessing today, here in his memorial, the unity of the Palestinian people."

Notice how silent Arafat has been ? Always the ultimate wily coyote terrorist he knows how to insure his own survival...I think this time he must be shitting in his pants, knowing Isreal can put a hellfire missile right between his buttcheeks while he is on the crapper and not even singe the toilet paper.

The killing of Yassin was long overdue. Arafat hopefully will die tomorrow without Israeli assistance. Let the Palestinian civil war begin.
