Colin Me Softly

Here's the latest example of Colin Powell's not-very-tough love with the Terrorstinian Authority:

There is now a new Prime Minister, Abu Alaa. We're encouraging him to do more in the area of security to end terrorist attacks.
Add this one to the list.

I'm not sure why are Bush's oral skills considered worse in comparison with Powell's.

I like Colin Powell's straight forward style. Yes, his comments do not always come across as highly emotional but isn't that a desirable characteristic in a Secretary of State? I don't think he would be very effective at negotiation - still the key to diplomacy - if he was using bellicose language with the Palestinians. Or the Isreali's for that matter.
