Never mind all the buzz surrounding Howard Dean. A pair of key endorsements has catapulted Carol Moseley Braun into the lead.
The National Organization for Women's Political Action Committee and the National Women's Political Caucus made the unusual early endorsement as they cited Braun for her long-standing support for their issuesThe National Organization for Women speaks for all of the women in the country, so we can expect at least half of all Americans to vote for Carol. I'm looking to the National Organization for Men to anoint a candidate for the rest of us. Posted by Stefan Sharkansky at August 27, 2003 08:09 AM
Below is a summation of Carol's scandal ridden past.

NOW is a ridiculous organization. Quite content over the decades to disparage stay-at-home-moms, dilute serious academics with idiotic women's study courses on campuses and support partial-birth abortion, it deserves the smarmy partisan lunacy it has morphed into.
NOW stays alive by orchestrating paranoia with each election cycle ranting that Roe vs Wade is in imminent danger of being overturned. And that is never going to happen without an incredible sea change in our culture. Not likely. Abortion rights are probably a safer given than social security if you analyze it without their hysteria.

Penny Amen! I am pro choice but the increasing shrillness of the choicers and their apocalyptic predicitons re: Roe v. Wade are starting to turn me totally off.
Posted by: Joel on August 27, 2003 11:05 AMOne more observaion about NOW. Where is the outrage regarding the human rights violation of Muslim women?
In the news today was a blurb about the Muslim "adultress" still trying to stave off her execution with appeals. Barbaric. Unjust. But, don't hold your breath waiting for NOW to come to her defense.
Hypocrites.
