Smart Cartoon

I don't have the opportunity to say this very often, but here is an editorial cartoon which demonstrates an accurate understanding of the Middle East.

I am hoping this whole Roadmap nonsense and the staggering restraint shown by the Israelis is a setup. In other words, make a big thing out of it, so all the world is watching while they violate it and you follow the rules carefully. Then, at the conclusion of the time allotted, Israel simply says: "We did our part. They did not. Negotiations are over for good."
Then they move in and clear both Gaza and the West Bank, pushing the "Palestinians" into Jordan and the Sinai. Further attacks of any kind are treated as full-blown acts of war and responded to appropriately with the full force of the State.
Thus endeth the discussion, and the UN can pass all the resolutions they want.

Ah torem, but you forget politics and oil - look this political islam is big - it uses international terrorism as its military arm and its oil as its diplomatic arm. as compared to the soviets, who used their piss poor military, but observed most of the rules of civilization as a military arm, and vodka exports and robert scheer articles as their diplomacy, they are a big threat.

Huh?

Israel, the U.S. and now the U.N. cannot do what is necessary because of politics of oil. For a long time the west could not take on the soviets, until reagan and others finally took them on, damn the politics. POlitical Islam is worse of an enemy, we cannot take them on because of politics, and by the time a real leader emerges who will, we may all be victims of terrorism.

Israel simply cannot strike back with any force at all, and everyone, including the Israelis and Hamas know it.

Hamas announced today that, as a result of Israel's counter strike, they are "ending their cease-fire". WHAT A JOKE!!!

Why are is the world trying to force Israel to negociate with terrorists? Just bomb their sorry as** to oblivion!!

If the cartoon had shown Sharon & his right-wing buddies calling for "every Arab dead" would you be publishing that? Or would you be calling it a "vicious slander?"

If so, maybe you should check Haaretz (or many other sources) for pictures of the Likudniks riding through Jerusalem in cars plastered with posters saying "expel the Arab enemy."

It seems that there's a thin line between "chosen people" and "master race."
