And both `American perfidy' and `English perfidy' seem about as natural pairings to me as `French perfidy'. For instance the USA's refusal to open the Straits of Tiran in 1967. And its continued refusal to apologise for the sanctions imposed on Israel after the Osirak bombing. Actually, that last item applies to pretty much every Western country.
