Palestinians protest against terrorists

This sounds like a first

In an unusual protest, about 600 Beit Hanoun residents blocked a main thoroughfare with trash cans, rocks and burning tires to show their anger at the militants and Palestinian Authority officials.

"They (the militants) claim they are heroes," said Mohammed Zaaneen, 30, a farmer, as he carried rocks into the street. "They brought us only destruction and made us homeless. They used our farms, our houses and our children ... to hide."

And they're probably not the only ones who feel that way.

I never understood why the IDF did not destroy more homes, rather than bothering with killing those islamists who don't really value life - i suppose it is more logical to kill the perpetrator rather than impose collective punishment, but since when does logic work in the middle east. From my contacts with palestinians, at least the secular ones i knew in lebanon, they are quite materialistic and did not much care for the actions of hezbollah which usually ended in a flattening of their homes in ein hilweh.

I agree. My son's teacher was talking to her students in class about the terrorism against the Palestinians. She was surprised when the students pointed out to her the fact that the terrorists were dragging the bodies of the palestianins through the streets claiming them to be Israeli confederates. They said it indicated the Palestinians were against the terrorists and that Israel and the other countries should be helping them to defeat the terrorists.
