Here and There, Mar. 24

Brooke Schreier 1, Ruth Rosen 0

I just learned that my cousin Aaron Katersky, a reporter for Clear Channel radio, is embedded with the First Marine Expeditionary Force in Iraq. An archive of his reports may be found here. I have never met Aaron, but I admire his courage and will be thinking of him and following his coverage in the days ahead.

It appears that Russian technicians are helping Saddam's military jam US GPS signals. This is the same Russia that the San Francisco Chronicle has recently described as "our longtime partner" and a "longtime ally"

I wonder if anyone thought to design a missile that homes on GPS jamming signals. Shouldn't be too difficult...just a modification of the normal antiradiation missiles to home on signals of a different frequency.

If so, anyone around those transmitters will get an unpleasant surprise..

Pictures are incriminating. Why is blood dripping from corpses who were stated to be killed in the battle field. One man apears to have had his throat cut, and cold bodies do not bleed. So why is their blood dripping in a so called morgue room?

Stefan -
We lived in Scituate MA from 95-98 and knew Ed and Rene - Aaron's parents. My wife (tj) worked with Rene. We met Aaron several times, and are very fond of him. If you contact him, please mention us.
