Here and There, Jan. 8

Ha'aretz (non-permanent) news flash: "European Union says Israeli travel ban of Palestinians must end". That suggests this modest proposal: Why not just let all 5 million Palestinians travel to Europe. Permanently. That would solve a number of problems, not least of which is the balancing of European moral accounts.

The 5 million Palestinians might not get along with the 5 million Algerians in France, 5 million Pakistani's in England and the 5 million Turks in Germany. It would certainly speed up the move towards Islamic law in the EU.

The population density in countries like France or Spain is around 100 inhabitants per square kilometer. 6 million Jews exterminated and, say, 2,5 million European Jews in Israel would give the Jews the right for a real estate of roughly 85.000 square kilometers. Guess: there's a country exactly in the middle of Europe that still has some debts to pay and is and has almost exactly this size. Making a long story short: the Arabs leave us alone in Israel, Judea, Samaria, Gaza and the Golan, and, in exchange, we'll give them our share in Europe. BTW, the name of the country is Austria.
